Today, when I was creating a local user in a computer and did not want to give the password to that user, then I got the error given below.

Error : The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length , password complexity and password history requirements.

Just by reading this error, it was known that there is a policy related to password in this computer.

Now the problem in front of me was how to break this policy.



Friends, below I have given some steps, with the help of which you can disable or enable the policy of password, you can also make any changes in it according to your convenience.


Remember your laptop should not be in the domain. If the laptop is in the domain, take it out of the domain.

Solution :- Step by Step 

👉 First of all login to your computer with administrator account .

👉 Now open local security policy 

👉 To open the Local Security Policy console, click Start > type secpol.msc. or press window button and type local security Policy in search . please refer below picture .

👉 In the Local Security Policy console, navigate to Account Policies > Password Policy.

👉 On the right pane, double-click Password must meet complexity requirements.

👉 Select Disabled > click Apply > click OK and close the Local Security Policy console.
